We recently had a fantastic outing to Whitehall in Cheam where we had a Victorian Day. It was a really good day. The children made Victorian-style greetings cards, dressed up in Victorian clothes, talked about how the Victorians lived, tried out a quill pen and ink, played with Victorian toys and even had a taste of a Victorian school. The staff were very knowledgable and extremely helpful. It was a good day and we'll certainly be going back there to find out more about Tudor times and the WW2 experience.
In response to the earthquake in Haiti, we had a series of Bring & Swap sales at the group sessions, to raise money. We let it run for 3 weeks and raised a total of £75.61 which went to the Diaster Relief fund.
